Ever since we are kids, we are taught to share. Though at that point in time parting with anything close to us seems like the last thing that can bring us joy, however, as we grow older it all starts making sense. A lot has been mentioned about the ‘joy of giving’ over the decades. The concept has become so popular that there are now weeks dedicated to the ‘Joy of giving’, encouraging individuals to share their prosperity.
Taking a deeper look into the joy of giving, it all boils down to one simple fact: Giving just makes you feel good. A major part of being human, and something which is slowly being forgotten by individuals lusting after success, is that seeing happiness on another person’s face fills our own soul with joy. ‘Giving’ gives us the power to bring a glint to someone’s eyes and a smile to someone’s face. It is a wonder then why more and more people do not indulge in this simple act that can open up a whole new world of satisfaction and happiness.
Giving does not necessarily have to involve big money, as you can give something as simple as a warm hug to lighten up anyone’s day. Moreover, giving is not just about gifting something; it is about sharing a part of your life, a part of your joy with someone. And, the best part about this absolutely divine act is that that ‘someone’ does not need to be anyone you know personally. It’s the random acts of giving that bring real joy into our lives!
